Forty-six percent (46%) of voters know what the word genocide means. Eighty percent (80%) say they know, but when asked for a description, just 57% of those provide an accurate one.
This is another example of a word commonly used in the political world that the majority of Americans aren't familiar with.
This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 21-22, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
