  • Voters trust Democrats more on the Economy, a longtime Republican stronghold.
    • Four in 10 voters (39%) say they trust the Democrat party more on the Economy. This is up 5 points from last month.
    • About a third (36%) say they trust the Republican party more. This is down 1 point from last month and down 7 points from February.
  • Similarly, on Inflation, 39% of voters trust Democrats more, and 35% trust Republicans more.
    • Since last May, Republicans have led by 2 to 7 points on Inflation, but views have shifted.
  • As the Iran war lingers on, National Security has risen to the third top issue.
    • Losing ground from last month, Republicans have a 4-point advantage, with 40% trusting them more than Democrats (who are at 36%).
    • Last month, Republicans led by 16 points at 45%, and Democrats were only at 29%.
  • Crime is the only other top issue that Republicans now lead: 41% trust Republicans more, and 35% trust Democrats more.
  • On all issues, 10% to 14% said they trust neither party, including these issues:
    • Climate Change (14%)
    • Inflation (12%)
    • Gun Laws (12%)


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 29-30, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
