  • Just 27% of voters say it is necessary to make significant cuts to America's standard of living to combat climate change.
    • This number includes 31% of Republicans and 22% of Democrats.
    • Overall, 41% say significant cuts are NOT needed, and 32% are not sure.
  • Consequently, 69% of voters are not willing to pay $10 per month to combat climate change.
  • Similarly, just 36% favor a proposal to impose World War II-type restrictions on gas, meat, and energy.
    • Half of voters (50%) oppose the idea.
  • Majorities of voters oppose incentives for people to move to cities, banning gas stoves, restricting all but essential airline travel, and restricting travel to visit friends and family.
    • Voters are split on support on requirements for smaller cars.
    • However, voters show strong support for reducing speed limits on highways and replacing in-person work and meetings with remote options.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 20-21, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
