44% Believe DOGE Hasn't Gone Far Enough or Is About Right In Its Efforts

When described as the new Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk, public opinion is divided on the DOGE effort so far. Thirty-five percent (35%) of voters now know what DOGE means, which is up from just 19% in December.

Forty-four percent (44%) believe DOGE has not gone far enough or has been about right in its efforts.

Thirty-six percent (36%) believe DOGE has gone too far.

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Democrats believe DOGE has gone too far while 69% of Republicans disagree.

Forty-two percent (42%) believe Elon Musk and DOGE can easily eliminate trillions of dollars in wasteful government spending by making the government more efficient without harming important government programs.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen February 10-11, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
