71% Say It's Very Important To Remember 9/11

The latest Napolitan News survey finds that 71% of voters say it is Very Important to remember the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2021. This includes 8-in-10 Republicans (81%) and nearly 7-in-10 Democrats (67%). Looked at another way, 81% of voters who prefer policies like President Trump's say it is Very Important to remember the attacks, along with 77% of Traditional GOP voters. On the left, 60% of voters who prefer policies like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez say it is Very Important, along with 74% of Traditional Democrat voters.

Another 20% of voters say it is Somewhat Important to remember the September 11 attacks. All told, 95% of Republicans consider it important, along with 94% of Democrats.

As for commemorating the anniversary of September 11 this year, 33% of voters say that they will do something special, 43% say they will not, and 24% are not sure. In this, there is almost no party divide; it includes 37% of Republicans and 33% of Democrats. Perhaps unsurprisingly, those living in high density population areas are the most likely to commemorate the event. Nearly half (47%) will do so.

The 25th anniversary of September 11th is being followed Very Closely by 22% of voters. That is about the same as those following the war in Iran (23%), and slightly less than those who were following the Epstein files story Very Closely (27%).


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, September 8-9, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
