  • Forty-four percent (44%) say it is appropriate to fire on and destroy drug smuggling boats, while a slight majority (52%) say the boats should be intercepted and the suspects arrested.
    • Sixty-three percent (63%) of Republicans say it is appropriate to fire on the boats, while 67% of Democrats say the suspects should be arrested.
    • There is a significant split among Republicans: 68% of Trump Republicans support firing on the boats, compared to just 28% of Traditional Republicans.
  • As is often the case, postgrads feel very differently about this topic than other voters.
    • 59% of postgrads say firing on the boats is appropriate, compared to just 42% of those with a bachelor's degree and 41% of those with no degree.
    • A majority (61%) of voters making more than $150,000 per year say firing on the boats is appropriate, while majorities of every other measured income bracket disagree.
  • Still, a healthy majority (58%) Strongly Favor charging drug traffickers with murder if they distribute drugs that result in someone's death.
    • Just 10% oppose the idea.
