  • Forty-five percent (45%) say Donald Trump believes in America's founding ideals.
    • That number has fallen 3 points since he took office, while the number saying he opposes the founding ideals (46%) has risen by 6 points since then.
  • Fifty-one percent (51%) of voters say that MAGA Republicans are opposed to our nation's founding ideals.
    • That number is down 3 points from our September 17th poll.
  • Meanwhile, 45% say progressive Democrats are opposed to our nation's founding ideals, while 40% say progressives favor the ideals.
    • About 1 in 6 (14%) of voters say they are unsure for progressive Democrats.
  • Fifty-two percent (52%) think Republicans as a party support America's founding ideals, and 44% say the same of Democrats.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 17-18, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
