  • A majority of voters (55%) have prayed for Charlie Kirk's wife or children in the last few days. 
    • Thirty-seven percent (37%) report not praying for them.
    • Over 7 in 10 Republicans (72%) have prayed for the family, compared to just 38% of Democrats.
  • In contrast, only a third of voters (32%) have prayed for the family of the man who killed Charlie Kirk.
    • Almost sixty percent (59%) report not praying.
    • On this question, there is a much less of a partisan divide: 36% of Republicans have prayed for the assassin, compared to 30% of Democrats.
  • To put this in context, 71% of voters report praying for the victims and families of mass shootings.
    • Just 26% reported they are offended when somebody offers thoughts and prayers following such a tragedy.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen September 9-10, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
