  • Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters see the U.S. as a force for good in the world, while 16% see it as a force for evil.
    • The number seeing the U.S. as a force for good is up 5 points from April's all-time low. Similarly, the number seing the U.S. as a force for evil is down 8 points from April's all-time high.
    • Republicans see the U.S. as a force for good by an overwhelming 78% to 10% margin.
    • Democrats agree by a 42% to 22% margin.
    • The Democrat numbers are brought down significantly by voters who prefer AOC-policies. They are evenly divided (35% say good, 33% say evil, and 23% say neither).
  • In October of 2024, towards the end of Biden's term, 64% said the U.S. was a force for good, while just 10% said it was a force for evil.
    • Those numbers stayed relatively unchanged until 2026.
  • Forty-five percent (45%) of voters say the UN is a force for good, down 5 points from April, while 15% say it is a force for evil, and 29% say it is neither.
    • A majority of Democrats (56%) see it as a force for good, while just 11% see it as a force for evil.
    • Republicans agree by a much more modest 37% to 19% margin, with 36% saying the UN is neither a force for good nor evil.

  • A plurality (41%) of voters say the UN supports America's interests, while 30% say it opposes them.
    • Another 29% are not sure.
  • However, by a resounding 65% to 20% margin, voters say that if the UN adopts a law contrary to American law and the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. should follow its own laws and the Constitution.
    • This includes an overwhelming majority (79%) of Republicans, and a strong majority (56%) of Democrats.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, September 28-29, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
