Publication: 03/21/2025 4:28 PM CST

Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters would favor a proposal that the money saved by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would be sent to the Social Security and Medicare trust funds. A Napolitan News survey found that 19% would oppose.

Among senior citizens, 84% support the proposal, including 57% who Strongly Favor it. While not as strong as among seniors, at least 61% of voters in every age group support the plan.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters say they have closely followed recent news stories about Elon Musk and DOGE.

The Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters nationwide was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen March 17-18, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
