  • In terms of their daily lives, 69% say their faith or religion is important, with 41% saying it is Very Important.
    • About one third (29%) say it's not important.
    • These numbers have remained fairly constant for the past few years.
    • Majorities of both parties their faith or religion is important to their daily lives.
  • When it comes to the Bible, 26% read it every day to several times a week.
    • Half (49%) say they rarely or never read the Bible.
  • A majority of voters (52%) say they pray at least several times a week, with 35% praying every day or nearly every day.
    • The number praying every day or nearly every day has gone down 7 points since last year, while the number saying they rarely or never pray has gone up 5 points to 30%.
    • Still, for reference, voters are approximately four times as likely to pray on a daily basis as they are to talk about politics.
  • One third (32%) attend church, synagogue, or other religious services at least once a week.
    • Half (50%) rarely or never attend services.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 30-31, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
