Seventy-nine percent (79%) of voters favor term limits on members of Congress. The Napolitan News Survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted August 13-14, 2024. Exactly half (50%) of voters strongly favor term limits. There is an almost even split between those who think term limits are more important for Supreme Court Justices (44%) and those who think term limits are more important for members of Congress (45%).
Only 29% of voters believe that Congress has about the right amount of power with 46% believing they have too much power. When asked if the supreme court has too much power, 31% think they have the right amount while over half (52%) of voters believe that they have too much.
