  • Eighty-four percent (84%) of voters say that America's ideals are being threatened today by some political leaders and activists.
    • This includes equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats.
    • Just 9% say America's ideals are not under threat.
    • Every measured demographic group has more than 7 out of 10 voters in agreement.
  • Meanwhile, a strong plurality (43%) say that America will be more polarized by this time next year, while just 17% say it will be more unified.
    • This is slightly more negative than our last survey in June, when 39% said America would be more polarized.
    • The number saying America would be more unified has stayed the same, though it is down from a slight bounce to 23% in March shortly after President Trump took office.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 8-9, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
