  • Just 23% of voters say a non-profit should be able to teach that the U.S. is fundementally a racist or sexist nation and still maintain tax exempt status.
    • Just over half (51%) disagree, while 26% are not sure.
    • A majority (62%) of GOP voters say such a non-profit should lose its tax exempt status.
    • A plurality (44%) of Democrats agree, though 30% do not agree, and 26% are not sure.
  • Even fewer (19%) say that a non-profit who provides funding to an extremist organization should be allowed to maintain tax exempt status, while 61% disagree.
    • Large majorities of Republicans and Democrats agree on this issue.
  • Similarly, just 17% say a non-profit should be allowed to donate to a terrorist organization and have tax exempt status. Seven in 10 (70%) disagree.
    • A shocking 41% of those who talk politics every day say that non-profits donating to terrorist organizations should keep their tax exempt status.
    • This is one of many disturbing trends among those who talk politics every day.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, May 4-5, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
