  • Almost unanimously, voters agree on statements on liberty, freedom, and equality.
    • Ninety-eight percent (98%) agree that equality means that the law should apply to everyone in the same way, no matter who they are.
    • Ninety-one percent (91%) agree that we have been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
    • At least 71% said that each of the statements on American ideals is Very Important.
  • A large majority (88%) of voters say that if America lived out its ideals about rights, liberty, freedom, and equality, the country would be stronger or weaker.
    • Sixty-five percent (65%) say it would be Much Stronger.
    • Just 8 percent say America would be weaker if it lived out its ideals about rights, liberty, freedom, and equality.
    • This strong agreement is found across all political parties.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 22-23, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
