  • About 4 in 10 voters (39%) currently favor the attacks on Iran that started February 28, while 55% oppose them.
    • These numbers fall along party lines, with 69% of Republicans favoring the attacks, while 81% of Democrats oppose them.
    • Just 19% of voters Strongly Support the action, while 38% Strongly Oppose it.
    • Sentiment regarding the war has been remarkably stable, though minor fluctuations have brought support as low as 34%.
    • Trump-policy voters overwhelmingly support the attacks, while Traditional GOP voters are split: 48% favor them and 47% oppose them.
  • Similarly, 39% of voters approve of President Trump's handling of the situation in Iran overall, while 59% oppose.
    • One in 5 (20%) Strongly Approve of his handling, while 45% Strongly Oppose it.
  • If Iran agreed to let the UN inspect its nuclear facilities to limit production for civilian use, 40% would trust that arrangement, while 44% would not.
    • A slim majority of Democrats (52%) would trust the arrangement, while a solid majority of Republicans (62%) would not.
  • Iran remains at the center of public attention: 34% report following it Very Closely.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 29-30, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
