  • Just 35% of voters now favor the attacks on Iran that started nearly two months ago, while 55% oppose them.
    • Support is down 7 points from our last survey and 4 points from a week ago.
    • These numbers include just 16% who Strongly Favor the attacks, compared to 39% who Strongly Oppose.
    • Eighty-five percent (85%) of Trump-policy voters approve, compared to just 46% of Traditional GOP voters.
  • Voters who talk politics daily favor the attacks by a margin of 50% to 48%.
  • As usual, Trump's approval on the situation in Iran as a whole is slightly higher than the ratings on the attacks, at 39%.
    • However, disapproval is also higher at 57%.
  • This continues to be one of the most highly watched news stories in recent years, with 33% saying they are following it Very Closely.
    • For context, 37% followed the Minneapolis shootings Very Closely, and 27% said they followed stories of the Epstein Files Very Closely.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 20-21, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
