Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters approve of President Trump's handling of the situation in Iran, while 55% disapprove. Approval dropped 3 points from 2 weeks ago while disapproval rose by 3. These totals include 16% who Strongly Approve and 38% who Strongly Disapprove.

Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Republicans approve, while 81% of Democrats disapprove. While 85% of voter's who prefer policies like President Trump's approve just 45% of Traditional GOP voters can say the same.

Regarding the attacks on Iran, 37% now favor them, while 53% oppose. This includes 17% who Strongly Favor them, and 32% who Strongly Oppose them.

While these baseline numbers are largely unchanged, there was a 10-point drop in the amount of voters following the Iran situation Very Closely. At just 20%, that is a new low, 5 points lower than the 25% who said the same on April 2-3. The previous low was likely influenced by Easter weekend.

The Political Bubble

As is commonly the case, voters who talk politics every day have radically different perceptions of events than the nation at large. A whopping 65% of people who do so approve of President Trump's handling of the situation in Iran, and 62% support the attack on Iran. And, while not as surprising, 58% of voters who talk politics on a daily basis are following the situation in Iran Very Closely.
