Highlighting the magnitude of the disconnect between voters and the political world, one of the hottest terms in DC right now is correctly defined by just 6% of voters.

When asked if they knew what the Congressional Reconciliation process is, 23% said yes. However, our follow up open-ended question found that 75% of those respondents gave an incorrect answer.

If the federal government wants to regain the trust of Americans, they'll need to start stepping into voters' worlds and communicating.

 

 


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen April 23-24, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
