  • Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters say the worst of the pandemic is behind us.
    • This number has held steady for more than a year, since May 2024. 
  • Most (65%) believe that, at this point, getting Covid is pretty much the same as getting the flu or a bad cold.
  • Voters are evenly divided between those who rate the federal government's handling of the pandemic as excellent or good (31%), fair (31%), and poor (36%).
    • Last year, in May 2024, 43% rated the federal government's handling as excellent or good, and just 27% said poor.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen July 30-31, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
