Fifty-two percent (52%) of voters now believe President Trump's tariff plan will be bad for the economy. Just 36% believe it will be good. The number saying the tariff plan will be bad is up five points from 47% a month ago and up seven points from two months ago.
Those dissatisfied also tend to feel much stronger about the issue. A Napolitan News Story found that 13% say the plan will be very good for the economy and 34% who say very bad.
Overall, 41% approve of the way President Trump is handling the tariff issue, and 53% disapprove. Again, those who disapprove tend to have stronger opinions. These numbers include 15% who strongly approve and 38% who strongly disapprove.
