Just One Third Of Voters Say Their Incomes Are Keeping Up With Inflation

03/07/2025

One third (33%) of voters say their incomes are keeping up with inflation. A Napolitan News survey found that 59% say their income has been falling behind.

For now, it appears that most voters are still blaming former President Biden for the inflationary spiral. By a 45% to 34% margin, voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on the issue.

However, at some point before the midterm elections, responsibility for inflation will shift to President Trump. Most voters (55%) believe inflation in the United States is due primarily to the policies and rhetoric of the president.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen March 3-4, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
