A Napolitan News survey found that 69% of Americans were aware of the return of two stranded astronauts to earth. However, only 46% were aware both of the rescue and that it was accomplished by SpaceX. Fifty-seven (57%) of Republicans knew what SpaceX had accomplished along with just 37% of Democrats.
This partisan gap is likely the result of legacy media outlets providing relatively little coverage of SpaceX's success.
The Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters nationwide was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen March 124-25, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
