  • Forty-six percent 46% of voters will not be making a New Year's Resolution come Dec. 31st this year.
    • However, 39% will make a resolution.
    • Those who talk politics nearly every day are some of the most likely to have a New Years resolution (57%) while only 31% of those who rarely or never talk politics have the same idea.
  • Responding in their own words, voters who planned to make a resolution mentioned goals about Health and Wellness (37%) and Personal Growth and Happiness (33%).
    • Financial Improvement (15%) and Spirituality and Faith (6%) were also top responses going into the New Year.
    • Democrats rated Growth and Happiness (35%) highly just edging out Health and Wellness (34%), while more Republicans said pointed to Health and Wellness (43%) than Growth and Happiness (29%).


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, December 20, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
