  • Six months into his presidency, 44% of voters say President Trump is at least as ethical as most politicians.
    • That is down from 51% just before he took office, but identical to a year ago in June of 2024.
  • Perceptions of Vice President J.D. Vance's ethics are also down since taking office.
    • Forty-one percent (41%) say he is at least as ethical as most politicians.
  • Democrats no longer in office (Barack Obama and Kamala Harris) have each seen a bounce in public perception of their ethics.
    • Sixty-seven percent (67%) consider Barack Obama to be as ethical as most politicians, and 56% said the same of Kamala Harris.
  • There's a a much higher number of people of people who say not sure when asked about Senator Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and Governor Gavin Newsom.

 


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen July 21-22, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
