Support for President Trump's handling of the tariff issue has slipped over the past week. Only 41% of voters approve of the way he's handling the issue. That's down two points from a week ago and down two from a month ago.

Fifty-four percent (54%) now disapprove of how the president is handling tariffs. That's up 4 points from a week ago and up 5 from a month ago. It's the highest level of disapproval yet recorded.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen April 14-15, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
