Seventy-nine percent (79%) of voters think is likely a foreign government or terrorist could do significant damage to the electricity grid and leave many Americans without power. A Napolitan News survey found that 86% believe it is likely a natural disaster could do such damage.
If such damage occurred, 49% believe it would take weeks (28%) or months (21%) for federal and state governments to return power to all customers.
Just 6% believe power could be restored within a few hours, and 24% within a few days.
Still, only 13% are following news stories about the electrical grid very closely, suggesting voters have larger concerns.
