Voters are split on how they think President Trump's tariff plan will impact the economy. While 42% say Trump's tariff plan will be good for the economy, 45%, say this plan will be bad for the economy.
Regardless of potential impact on the economy, 58% of voters expect the president's plan to lead to higher prices. Fifty-four percent (54%) approve of how the president is handling tariffs, while 47% disapprove.
This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen February 18-19, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
