01/28/2025

Forty percent (40%) favor making the Panama Canal a part of the United States. A Napolitan News survey found that an equal number (41%) oppose. Sixty-three percent (63%) of Republicans favor bringing in the Panama Canal, while 64% of Democrats are opposed.

These numbers are similar to the attitudes towards making Greenland part of the United states and doing the same with Canada.

When asked about Mexico, the response is much different. Just 19% favor making Mexico part of the United States while 69% are opposed.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen January 13-14, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
