  • As the shutdown might be coming to a close, 40% of registered voters now report at least feeling Some impact from the shutdown that began on October 1st.
    • That is down 4 points from 44% last week.
    • The totals include 14% who say they have felt A Lot of impact, and 26% who report feeling Some impact.
    • For context, on October 1st, 6% said they felt A Lot of impact, and 17% said they felt Some.
    • This survey was conducted on Monday, November 10, after the deal had been announced on Sunday night but before any votes had taken place.
  • A majority of voters (82%) are currently aware that the federal government is shutdown.
    • That is down 3 points from last week but the same as two weeks ago.
  • While both parties blame the opposition for the standoff, 40% of voters place most of the blame on Republicans, and 34% place most of it on Democrats.
    • Another 21% blame Both Parties Equally.
    • The number blaming Republicans is up 4 points from last week.
    • Meanwhile, the number blaming Democrats has gone down 2 points since then.
    • In every survey but last week's (when they tied), a plurality have blamed Republicans.
  • About one quarter (24%) have been following the news on the shutdown Very Closely.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 10-11, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
