  • Vice President J.D. Vance is viewed favorably by 43% of voters and unfavorably by 51%.
    • Opinions have continued to slip since December's high, when Vance's favorables were at 50%, and his unfavorables were at 44%.
    • Eighty-five percent (82%) of Republicans have a favorable opinion of Vance compared to just 9% of Democrats.
  • Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, is viewed favorably by 30% and unfavorably by 35%.
    • Johnson's favorability has been trending down from a high of 38% in May 2025, and this month's favorability is 1 point down from January's rating.
    • Johnson's unfavorability went up 2 points from January.
    • As expected, 51% of Republicans have a favorable opinion of Johnson, but only 12% of Democrats have the same view.
  • Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, has a favorable review of 28% and an unfavorable review of 35%.
    • Perhaps because Jeffries is the minority leader, his favorability numbers steadily rose from a low of 21% 2 years ago.
    • Over the past year, his favorability ratings have gone up and down, beginning with 32% in January and a high of 36% in July.
    • Before going up 2 points from January's 26%, Jeffries' favorability had declined from November through January.
    • Many voters (38%) have never heard of Jeffries or don't know enough to have an opinion.
  • Most voters (53%) still either have not heard of (or do not know enough about) Senate Majority Leader John Thune to have an opinion.
    • He is viewed favorably by 19%, and unfavorably by 28%.
    • His favorability rose 1 point, but his unfavorability also rose 4 points.
  • Senator Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been in office since 1999 and is relatively well known.
    • He is viewed favorably by 29%, a 5-point increase from January's low of 24%.
    • Schumer is viewed unfavorably by 47%, 1 point lower than in January.
    • Even among Democrats, Schumer has low ratings, with 45% Favorable and 31% Unfavorable.
