Forty-four percent (44%) of voters say that the federal government overreacted to the pandemic in ways that did more harm than good.
- Forty-seven percent (47%) say they did not overreact.
While overreaction numbers have held relatively steady, opinion on government response have declined.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen July 30-31, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
