  • Earlier this year, Congress passed a law to ban TikTok in the United States unless it was sold to a U.S. buyer, and 52% favor the ban.
    • That number includes 25% who Strongly Favor the ban.
    • Two thirds of Republicans (68%) favor the ban, though Democrats are split: 40% favor it, and 43% are opposed.
    • Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters have been following the TikTok story in the news, including 10% who have followed Very Closely. Of that 10% group, 57% favor the ban.
  • Last week, President Trump announced a deal to bring TikTok in the U.S. under the control of American investors, including Oracle. The administration says this will allow Americans to use TikTok without fear of Chinese control or interference.
    • Six in 10 voters (60%) favor this deal, but 24% oppose it.
    • Three quarters of Republicans (78%) favor the deal, but only 46% of Democrats favor it.
    • Of those who have been following the TikTok story, 71% favor the deal.
  • Only 27% of registered voters use TikTok constantly or several times a day, and almost half (46%) never use it.
