61% of Republicans say they are Trump Republicans

01/06/2025

Sixty-one percent (61%) of Republican and Republican leaning voters say they are Trump Republicans, while 27% say they are Reagan Republicans. Even among those who were old enough to remember the Reagan era, 54% now consider themselves a Trump Republican.

Among Democrat and Democrat leaning voters, 45% say they are progressive Democrats, while 44% say they are traditional Democrats.

This and other data suggests that, while Republicans have decided to follow an America First path, the future of the Democratic Party remains in doubt. It is likely that the battle between progressive Democrats and traditional Democrats will grow more intense before it is resolved.

The Napolitan News Service surveys of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen December 27-28, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
