Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters favor transferring more control for schools to state education departments and local school boards and away from the federal Department of Education. Twenty-nine percent (29%) are opposed.
Support for transferring more control to state education departments comes from 76% of Republicans, while Democrats are evenly divided (47% favor, 45% oppose).
