  • A large majority (82%) of registered voters say they have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
  • Only 13% will not celebrate Thanksgiving this week, up 5 points from last year:
    • One quarter (26%) say they will travel to visit family or friends, while 20% say they will be hosting family or friends.
    • Two in 5 (42%) plan to celebrate just with their immediate family.
  • Among those celebrating:
    • Three quarters (74%) plan to eat turkey, and 55% think they will probably eat too much.
    • Other activities include watching the parade (49%), watching football (35%), and playing football (19%). A minority are planning some Christmas shopping (8%).
  • According to 37% of voters, Thanksgiving is one of the nation's most important holidays.
     


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 19-20, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
