  • The overwhelming majority of voters agree with each of four key phrases identified with America's ideals.
    • We should be judged by the content of our character, not by the color of our skin (94%).
    • We have been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (87%).
    • Our nation was conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal (86%).
    • All men and women are created equal (85%).
  • A plurality, (39%) say that all four are equally important.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen July 23-24, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
