  • The latest Napolitan News Generic Ballot survey found that, if the election were held today, 43% would vote for the Republican from their district, and 41% would vote for the Democrat.
    • When leaners are included, the GOP has a one-point advantage, 46% to 45%.
    • A month ago, the Generic Ballot was tied at 47%. Support for both parties has slipped a bit since then.
    • With the exceptions of April and May, the Republicans have held an advantage on the Generic Congressional Ballot every month this year.
  • While the topline numbers among Registered Voters are essentially even, Democrats have a modest advantage when it comes to enthusiasm.
    • Forty-seven percent (47%) of Democrats are Very Enthusiastic about voting in the midterm elections.
    • Only 41% of Republicans are Very Enthusiastic.
    • Many analysts expected a boost in enthusiasm among GOP voters following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We did not ask about enthusiasm prior to the shooting, so it is impossible to know whether these numbers reflect any change. (Higher enthusiasm is often correlated with higher turnout.)

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 2,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, September 22-24, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
