As questions about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from power arise, Napolitan News asked voters about Vice President J.D. Vance, who would take office if it were enacted.

Six in 10 GOP voters (59%) say Vice President J.D. Vance's politics are more in line with the everyday American than Donald Trump's.
- Just 16% disagree.
- Democrats take the opposite view, saying Vance's views are further out of touch with the everyday American by a nearly identical 61% to 18% margin.
- Perhaps surprisingly, there is almost no inter-party split: 58% of Trump policy voters say Vance's views are more in line, along with 56% of Traditional GOP voters.
Overall, 39% of voters say Vance's politics are further out of touch with everyday Americans than Trump is, while 35% disagree.
- Voters who are politically engaged (saying they talk about politics at least most days) believe Vance's politics are closer to the everyday American by a margin of 47% to 43%.
- Voters who are disengaged say Vance is more out of touch by a margin of 37% to 29%.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 13-15, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
