  • Over the past month, 49% have paid all of their credit card balances in full. 
    • Apart from one slight dip to 45% in late May, this number has remained within two points since March.
    • Forty-two percent (42%) have made only partial payments, which has also been consistent for months.
  • Half (50%) of all voters say they are regularly able to set aside money in savings or retirement accounts.
    • Over the past four months, that number has ranged between a low of 43% in mid-April and a high of 52% in mid-July.
  • Half (50%) of voters say they would be able to make a surprise emergency payment of $1,000 without cutting back on their lifestyles. 

 

 

 


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen August 11-12, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
