  • Seven out of 10 voters (69%) believe biological males who identify as women should not be allowed to compete in women's sports events.
    • This number has stayed fairly consistent since February 2022.
    • Just 18% disagree and believe biological males who identify as women should not be allowed to compete with women.
    • An overwhelming majority of Republicans (88%) say biological males should not be allowed to compete with women.
    • Contrary to popular perception, even a majority of Democrats (55%) agree that males should not compete, and 18% are Not Sure.
    • Similarly, 56% of voters ages 18 to 34 say the same.
  • Two-thirds (67%) say that biological males who identify as women should not be allowed to use the women's locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms.
    • Nineteen percent (19%) disagree and say they should be allowed to use the women's facilities.
    • Most Republicans (87%) say males should not be allowed to use the women's facilities.
    • Democrats' views are not as one-sided: 52% say males should not be allowed, but 30% saying they should be allowed. The other 18% are Not Sure.
  • Six in 10 voters (60%) say that allowing biological males to compete in women's sports denies opportunities for biological women to compete.
    • Interestingly, this number has gone down by 7 points since March 2024.
    • Twenty-eight percent (28%) say it does not deny opportunities for women, up 8 points from March 2024.
    • A plurality of Democrats (45%) agree as do 79% of Republicans.
    • At least 70% of older voters over 55 say that allowing men to compete denies opportunities for women.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 23-24, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
