This week, economic optimism moved up a bit, as 28% of registered voters rate the economy as Good or Excellent, up 4 points from 2 weeks ago, and up 1 point from a month ago.
- Thirty-six percent (36%) rate the economy as Poor, down 4 points from 2 weeks ago.
- A plurality of Republicans (45%) say the economy is Good or Excellent, up 4 points from two weeks ago but still way down from the 54% of Republicans who said the same a month ago.
- This week, 17% of Republican voters say the economy is Poor. This is down 4 points from 2 weeks ago.
- Democratic voters' views are extremely pessimistic: only 15% say the economy is Good or Excellent, while 53% say it is Poor.
Only 22% of voters say the economy is getting better, down 1 point from 2 weeks ago.
- Half (52%) say the economy is getting worse, down 7 points from 2 weeks ago.
- Forty percent (40%) of Republicans say it is getting better, and 26% say it is getting worse.
- Even more pessimistic, 75% of Democrats say the economy is getting worse, and just 9% say it is getting better.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, April 13-14, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
