  • When it comes to the party voters trust more on important issues, the nation remains a tossup -- 41% choose Republicans, and 39% choose Democrats.
    • Those numbers have remained steady, with a 2-point margin for the last 3 months.
  • The Economy is the number 1 issue for both parties.
    • For Republicans, issues 2 and 3 are Immigration (22%) and Inflation (18%).
    • For Democrats, the other issues are Healthcare (20%) and Inflation (17%).
  • Republicans have the advantage on Immigration, 44% to 37%.
    • This 7-point edge is far smaller than when President Trump was elected, but still comfortably with the Republicans.
  • In contrast, Democrats have a 13-point edge on Healthcare, 45% to 32%.
  • Inflation is a tossup, with 38% trusting Republicans more, and 36% trusting Democrats more.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, January 28-29, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
