  • Only 19% say it's Very Likely that Congressional leaders will reach an agreement in time to avoid a partial government shutdown on October 1.
    • Eight percent (8%) of voters say it is Not At All Likely a deal will be reached.
  • Half (51%) of voters correctly assert that Social Security benefits continue to be paid during a partial federal government shutdown.
    • One in three (30%) are not sure if benefits would be paid, and 18% say that benefits are not paid.
