  • Forty-one percent (41%) of voters believe that the benefits that the government offers are worth the costs and regulations.
    • Republicans are split evenly, with 37% saying it is worth it and 38% saying it is not.
    • A plurality of Democrats (49%) say it is worth it, while 32% say it is not.
  • Ironically, half (49%) of government workers say the benefits are not worth the costs.
    • This is the highest number among any measured employment group.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen August 25-26, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
