Thirty-one percent (31%) of voters rate the economy as excellent or good, while 32% rate it as poor.
Twenty-nine percent (29%) of voters say the economy is getting better, while 47% say it is getting worse.
Thirty-six percent (36%) say the country is currently in a recession, and almost the same number (37%) do not believe that.

The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen August 25-26, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
