  • Forty-seven percent (47%) of voters view Vice President J.D. Vance favorably. Another 47% view him unfavorably.
    • This is largely unchanged from August.
  • Speaker of the House Mike Johnson's numbers have also stayed stable.
    • One third (33%) view him favorably, while 34% have an unfavorable opinion.
  • Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is viewed favorably by 29%.
    • That's his lowest rating this year, though it hit 30% in March.
    • Thirty-two percent (32%) view Jeffries unfavorably.
  • Senate Minority Leader and veteran Chuck Schumer is viewed favorably by 32% of voters.
    • That's one 1 point lower than in August, but up from this year's low of 29%.
    • Forty-three percent (43%) view Schumer unfavorably.
  • Senate Majority Leader John Thune is not as well known, with 24% viewing him favorably and 20% unfavorably.
    • Two thirds (66%) either aren't sure or don't know enough to have an opinion.
  • Finally, the vast majority of voters (69%) either haven't heard of, or don't have an opinion on, Director of the United States Office of Management and Budget Russell Vought.
    • The President recently referred to him as "The Reaper," as the Trump Administration mulls over what cuts to make during the government shutdown.


The most recent data cited is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, October 1, 2025. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1
