  • Nearly two thirds (63%) of voters think their local police are good or excellent, while 9% rate them as poor.
    • The number rating them good or excellent is down slightly from 67% in May, though the number rating them as poor is unchanged.
  • Similarly, 67% feel safe walking alone at night in their neighborhood.
    • This number includes 78% of men, and a significant, but smaller majority (58%) of women.
  • Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters are aware of violent crime or serious property crime close to where they live.
    • There is almost no partisan divide on this question.
