  • Given a list of options, 24% of voters say the Economy is the most important political issue right now.
    • Among 1,000 registered voters, Inflation (16%), Immigration (13%) and Healthcare (12%) also rank highly.
    • Gun laws (5%), Education (4%) and Abortion (3%) are less commonly at the top of voters' minds.
    • For Republicans, the top three issues identified as most important are the Economy (23%), Immigration (19%), and Inflation (15%).
    • For Democrats, the top three issues are the Economy (23%), Inflation (19%), and Health Care (15%).
  • A majority of voters (81%) said that the Economy is Very Important.
    • Three quarters (73%) said that Inflation is Very Important.
    • And 60% said that Immigration is Very Important.
  • There are many ways to ask about the importance of issues. Napolitan News routinely asks an open-end question so that voters can answer the question in their own words.
    • Consistently, in the open-end format, economic issues are the top issues, despite differences in exact percentages.
