    • Not surprisingly, Democrats are far more likely to say that the President and Congress have too much power.
    • However, 48% of Republicans and 46% of Democrats feel the Supreme Court has too much power.
  • Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters believe the President has too much power, a new high since we started asking this question in 2024.
    • Just this year, the percentage is up 7 points from August, 8 from July, and 1 from April.
    • That total is split among those who believe it has Far Too Much (36%) and Somewhat Too Much (23%).
    • This is in stark contrast to our August 2024 poll while Biden was in office, in which only 35% of both Democrats and Republicans believed the President had too much power.
    • Twenty-two percent (22%) believe it is About the Right amount, while 16% believe it is too little.
  • Forty-eight percent (48%) of voters believe that Congress has too much power, also a new high.
    • The number is up 10 points from this last June, 7 points from July, and 2 points from August 2024.
    • That total includes 20% who say it has far too much and 25% who say somewhat too much (28%).
    • Twenty-two percent (22%) believe it is about the right amount, while 22% believe it is too little.
  • Overall, 47% of voters believe the Supreme Court has too much power.
    • The number saying the Supreme Court has too much power is up 10 points from June and July, but down from its peak of 52% in August 2024.
    • That group is split among those who believe it has far too much (22%) and somewhat too much (25%).
    • Twenty-seven percent (27%) believe it is about the right amount, while 18% believe it is too little.
